As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • The corresponding author takes responsibility for the paper's analysis, the manuscript preparation and decision to submit the manuscript to J-CASTE for open access publication or describes in the Comments to the Editor box below any additional considerations.
  • The corresponding author affirms on behalf of all authors that there are no competing interests OR discloses in
    the Comments to the Editor box below any competing interest(s) that might bias objectivity or create a
    perception of conflict of interest in relation to their submission. This Declaration covers any competing interest
    within 5 years before the submission date. An author's competing interest(s) might include gains or benefits
    from the following. (J-CASTE does nor require authors to state the monetary value of their financial interests).
  • 1. Financial support for research including grants, honoraria, gifts, salary, equipment and supplies, travel expenses.
  • 2. Employment while engaged in this research either present or anticipated by any organization, private or public, that may gain or lose financially through publication of this paper.
  • 3. Personal financial Interests such as investments and stock options in companies affected by publication of this research, consulting fees or other forms of remuneration including royalties from organizations which may profit or lose as a result of publication.
  • This Declaration assures that authors to the best of their knowledge and in good faith attest to the high standard for transparency necessary to maintain the integrity of intellectual inquiry and debate.
